Our Head Coach

Christine Kunka is a Regional Certified Coach with 21 years experience and is a Mentor Coach.  She has her Jr Silver FreeSkate, Sr. Silver Skills, and her Gold Dances.  Christine ended her skating career competing at the Pre Novice level.

She has coached skaters successfully to their Triple Gold Status, had skaters on Alberta Winter Games Team, and Arctic Winter Games Team. And has had several skaters reach the podium at STARSkate Championships.

Christine currently coaches full time, teaching group programs at the Ice Palace Skating Club, as well as the past 2 seasons coaching for the CanSkate at School Program ran by our Section.

She has been with our Club for 2.5 seasons and we have seen tremendous growth from our children, as well as their love for the sport
